I take photos of nature and wild animals, and now and again I post one of my images on Instagram. There are other photographers on IG whose work I follow, and museums and galleries, curators, and critics. Every now and again I will post a comment on somebody’s post; usually I say something like “Thank you for “ whatever the party has done. When the poster is a celebrity — Julian Lennon, Paul McCartney, Olivia Harrison, for examples — it is remarkable to see the number of scamsters who instantly buzz me, as a mosquito does a bare arm.
